American Classic Drumsticks (Vic Firth 5B) are a common solution, heavier than 5A  and medium size, which is well suited to various musical instruments and to "harder" genres.
 The American Classic 5B has long been one of the most popular drumstick models in the world. The American Classic line combines tradition and Vic Firth style. With bold designs, the Classics are constructed from select hickory - a dense wood with little flexibility for a more pronounced sound. Hickory is also capable of withstanding many impacts, making it extremely durable. The tips are deeply carved for a more intense response on the cymbals.
